Adam Kear received notice today that our tree planting project for Franklin Avenue received approval in the maximum funding amount of $10,000. So now we'll have to get busy! Thanks to Adam for his hard work!

The No-Parking Priority Program of the Fire Department is currently on Hold. Those L.A. City Councilmembers whose communities are affected are currently meeting with the Fire Department, DOT and other agencies to ascertain the best way to approach this issue. This will be discussed further at the HUNC N&E Ctte Fire Safety Town Hall meeting to be held August 24th, 2004.
HUNC co-hosted the annual Great Los Angeles River Clean-Up which was coordinated by the Friends of the Los Angeles River http://www.folar.org . There are some great pictures.. with some people you may know.. at the site www.Park2ParkLA.com !
